Six Pack Abs | Is traditional sit-ups great for developing a six pack abs?

This is a very common question, but the reality is that you work a lot of other muscles and you're not targetting the abdomen area.

You pull on your neck and your legs do a lot of the work. Traditional sit-ups also put a lot of strain on your lower back.

Traditional sit-ups emphasizes sitting up rather than pulling your chest towards your hips. Hip flexor muscles comes into play when doing regular situps. If you want eye catching abs you will have to take the hip flexor muscle out of your workouts.
